What kinds of recognition opportunities are available?
City of Hope is proud to recognize the generosity of our donors with highly prominent and attractive recognition in meaningful locations across campus and within diverse facilities. These include donor walls, building opportunities, plaque programs and benches. Please contact the Donor Relations Department to learn more at www.cityofhope.org/recognitiongallery. This website allows you to view your recognition, print and share it, all from your computer 24 hours a day.
The gallery can also be viewed on City of Hope’s campus at the WILDER ARCHIVES KIOSK in the Kaplan Family Pavilion.
Can I print my recognition photo?
Yes, you can print your recognition photo from your home computer by clicking on the yellow “Print Photo” button below the photo.
Can I print my recognition record?
Yes, you can print the full record by clicking on the yellow “Print Record” button below the recognition photo.
Why do multiple records containing my name appear in the search results?
If your name appears on more than one item of recognition, you will have multiple records.
Can I add a photo of my recognition to the gallery?

Please check the spelling of the name, or search using only the first three letters of the name.
If your recognition was recently ordered, please allow 90 days from the time you made your order for your recognition to be placed on campus and published online.

How do I search for recognition?
On the “Select Search Type” screen, tap one of the four gold boxes on the right that corresponds to the search type you wish to perform.
What kind of searches can I perform?
There are five search types: last name, first name, organization name, affiliation with a City of Hope industry, chapter or support group and location.
• The first three types – last name, first name or organization name – all search for recognition by the honoree’s name as it appears on the recognition itself. Type in the name as you believe it appears on the recognition and hit search to find your results.
• Search by industry, chapter or associate group allows you to enter the name of a City of Hope support group and view all the recognition of honorees who are affiliated with this group, such as honorees involved with an industry group, support chapter or Lions Club.
• Search by location allows you to search by building name or outdoor space (i.e. Helford Hospital, Brawerman Ambulatory Clinic, Rose Garden, etc.) and view all the recognition associated with this location.
How are the records listed in the gallery?
Each record is listed alphabetically according to the name(s) on the item of recognition.
Where can I find my Lions, Eagles, Fraternal Order or Grandmother’s Club plaque?
Under the search type, search by “Chapter, Industry, or Associate Group”. A list of all recognition associated with this group will appear. If you have trouble locating your group, please try searching by “Honoree Organization”. Lions can search by district number or club name.
What is the difference between an honoree organization and a chapter/industry/associate group?
The search by honoree organization looks for entities – e.g., businesses, support groups, foundations and associations -- that are named on the recognition itself. For example, you can look for all plaques that name XYZ Corporation or XYZ Chapter as an honoree on the recognition.
The search by industry/chapter/associate group is specific to City of Hope support groups and provides the recognition of honorees affiliated with a certain group. For example, type “Fashion & Retail Group” to see a full list of all honored individuals and organizations affiliated with the Fashion & Retail Industry Group.
HOW TO SEARCH FOR AN INDIVIDUAL HONOREE BY LAST NAME
How do I search by an individual by last name?
On the “Select Search Type” screen, tap the box that reads “Search by Individual Honoree Last Name”. Do not include a comma or first name. Click on search and you will be directed to another screen showing your search results.
I only know the honoree’s last name. Can I still find the recognition?
Yes, search by last name. If you have trouble locating the recognition, try entering the first few letters from the name or check the spelling.
Why do no records match the name I entered?
Try entering a different spelling or entering the first few letters from the name. Please note that only the names on recognition are included in the gallery. If the person you are searching for honored someone else, his or her name may not appear in the gallery.
I’m unsure of the spelling. Will the gallery find the recognition?
Search using the first three letters of a name or any part of the name you can remember. The search results will include all records with that letter combination.

Click on the gold box that reads “Start Over”. You will be redirected to the “Select Search Type” screen.

How do I search for an individual by first name?
On the “Select Search Type” screen, tap the box that reads “Search by Individual Honoree First Name”. Do not include a comma or last name. If you have trouble locating the recognition, try entering the first few letters from the name or check the spelling.
I only know an honoree’s first name. Can I still search for recognition?
Yes, the gallery will display all existing records containing the first name you entered.

How do I search for an honoree organization?
On the “Select Search Type” screen, tap the box that reads “Search by Honoree Organization”. Enter the name of the business, support group, foundation or association that you are searching for. What is an honoree organization?
An honoree organization is a business, support group, foundation or association named on the recognition itself. For example, you can look for all items that name XYZ Corporation or ABC Chapter on the recognition.

HOW TO SEARCH BY INDUSTRY, CHAPTER OR ASSOCIATE GROUP
What is an industry, chapter or associate group?
An industry/chapter/associate group is a specific City of Hope support group. This search will list all recognition purchased by individuals and organizations that are identified as members of that particular group.
Why doesn’t my industry, chapter or associate group appear in the search results?
Records appear according to the name(s) on an item of recognition. You may try entering the first three letters of the group that you are searching for. Also, you may try searching by honoree organization.
How do I search for people or organizations associated with an industry, chapter or associate group?
On the “Select Search Type” screen, tap the box that reads “Search by Industry, Chapter or Associate Group”. Enter the name of the industry, chapter or associate group you are searching for (i.e. Fashion & Retail Industry Group or XYZ Lions Club). The records list will provide all recognition honoring individuals or organizations associated with that particular group.

HOW TO SEARCH BY LOCATION
How do I search by location?
On the “Select Search Type” screen, tap the box that reads “Search by Location”. You will be directed to a search screen where you can enter the name of a City of Hope location – i.e. the name of a building or garden location on Campus. Your search results will list all recognition associated with this location.
What is a location?
A location is a building, garden or outdoor wall location on City of Hope’s campus. Examples include Helford Hospital, Brawerman Ambulatory Clinic, Rose Garden, etc.
I can’t remember the exact name of the building or garden. Can I still find it?
Enter what you can remember, like “building”, “hospital” or “garden”. Otherwise look at a City of Hope map for all building names.
